Rif farms, a cooperative born from the land, roots and dreams of a family
In a small village nestled in the mountains, in Ounas Edin, we are a group of enthusiasts gathered in 2023 around an idea: to create a cannabis cooperative that would respect ancestral lands and traditional agricultural practices around Moroccan Hashish.
With the help of goldbar420.com, a world-renowned Swiss Hashish producer, and the Elkorti family, who grew up here, surrounded by hills scented with wild herbs and carefully cultivated fields, we decided to found a website name Rif farms, property of Canpro cooperative, to protect and sincerely share the love of this unique terroir.
The adventure began with a conversation under the olive trees, one autumn afternoon, while the wind blew the scent of drying cannabis flowers.
The group shared a common passion for cannabis and its therapeutic benefits, but they were much more than just growers. They were guardians of the land, producers of purity, of exceptional hashish, convinced that cannabis could be grown ethically, in harmony with local traditions. Together, they dreamed of a project that would pay tribute to their roots and our neighbors while participating in the economic revival of their region.
Our Mission: to produce the highest quality cannabis resin while preserving the balance of the local environment and promoting the agricultural know-how of the region.
For Rif farms, each stage of production is carefully thought out. We work closely with cannabis institutes around the world to explore the best cannabis varieties that are best suited to our climate and their soil, based on cultivation techniques passed down from generation to generation.
No pesticides, no chemicals; each plant grows thanks to the water from the mountains and the generous sunshine of the region. Rif Farms members also take care to limit their ecological footprint. Crop residues are reused, the soil is naturally enriched, and every corner of the fields is preserved to guarantee precious biodiversity. We want Rif Farms to be an example.
Rif Farms is not only a cooperative, it was also a social project. Community members are invited to participate in the harvests and discover the benefits of cannabis for therapeutic use. The cooperative offers training to learn best agricultural practices, and the income generated is shared fairly with the farmers.
Rif farms is above all the success of the Canpro cooperative that attracts attention beyond the borders of the village. Canpro has become a symbol, showing how a community can flourish by promoting its local resources in a 100% legal way.
Over the years, Rif farms has acquired GACP and GMP EU certifications in order to diversify its products, ranging from cannabis for therapeutic use.
Today, it is much more than a cooperative, it is a model for all those who believe in a sustainable future for the Rif, where agriculture and innovation combine with respect for traditions. The dream of this small group of enthusiasts continues to grow, nourished by the generous lands of Morocco and inspiring other communities to follow their example.
